To say I am not the most organized person is a total understatement. I'm simply not organized. I spend huge amounts of time searching for things I've misplaced. You'd think I'd learn by now but so far I'm still being rebellious! (I'm also a huge procrastinator but that's a story for another day.)
Saturday night I used Chad's keys to take the babysitter home. I'm pretty sure I put them by my purse on the kitchen counter since our key holder wasn't hung up yet--not like I use it much anyway (see above. Apparently, subconsciously, I don't like to put things where they belong. Anyway Sunday morning Chad asks about his keys. I spend a few minutes looking, give up, and give him the spare knowing I'll have to eventually find them (but I'm a procrastinator so I can do that later). This afternoon I know he's going to need his keys to go back to work so I start the hunt. I look EVERYWHERE! In boxes, on counters, in clothes, in the garage, in the truck--I even dug through the trash! I casually ask the kids to help but they're occupied with the TV and don't really acknowledge me. Finally after an hour I am really frustrated. And worried. What could I have done with the keys? Finally I formally enlist the help of the kids by turning off the TV (this is key--nothing is accomplished with the TV on) and sending them on the hunt. 10 seconds later Holly comes to me with the keys. She knew where they were the whole time. She hid them in one of the drawers in a console table Sunday morning. The table has 3 drawers. I had already looked through 2 of them before thinking to myself--there's no way I put them in here. Of course they were in the 3rd drawer I didn't look in. Duh! Holly was very proud of herself for finding the keys--even if she was the one to hide them.
I'm just relieved they were found and especially pleased that I was not the one to lose them or misplace them. I'm making progress!

Happy Mother's Day!
I love Mother's Day! I hope everyone had a great day. Mine started with breakfast in bed consisting of a Zone Bar and my morning beverage of choice (Diet Coke, of course) along with the Sunday paper :) Chad and the kids got me flowers and a cute card. I'm getting a pedicure at some point but I'm waiting until after the move!
The primary kids sang in Sacrament and it was so cute. It was Cassie's first time up there and she actually sang (and waved to me at the same time)! Holly was behind someone so I could barely see her :( Cassie was telling me a few weeks ago that they were going to sing and when they were done all the moms would cry and love her :) She's so funny.
Cassie had a tea party for the moms at her school. They were so cute. The kids sang to us and I thought I video taped it but apparently I don't know how to work the video function on my camera so I just got still shots. Here are some of Cassie...

Boxes, Boxes and more boxes
Isn't moving fun? ***insert sarcasm here***
You'd think we would be pros by now with the amount of times we've moved. We've been in this house almost 3 years which is the longest we've been anywhere--crazy! We're moving just a mile a way but I think the short-distance moves are sometimes the hardest. You think you have more time than you really do. We have less than 2 weeks and I think I've packed 7 boxes. Not good. It's much harder this move with me working and Chad being gone so much. Chad was nice enough to assemble all the boxes for me yesterday. Now I just need to fill 'em up :) I should probably get moving, huh?
